Playing tips
Since the main instrument here is piano, pay attention to the keyboard
implementation of the chords. Listen to the original recording (which
is, as ever, unconditionally suggested!), and you will find the right way
of playing this stuff, which is tricky. For example, g+b means that
g and b are played together.
Fmaj7 guitar: 1 x 3 2 1 0 keyboard: f a c e
g+b guitar: x x 3 0 0 0
INTRO: { f Fmaj7 e d b g+b g g+b g } x4
f Fmaj7 e d b g+b g g+b g f
If you catch me running along by the sea,
Fmaj7 e d b g+b g g+b g
(sea) with bare feet in the sand, then you'll
f Fmaj7 e d b g+b g g+b g
(then you'll) know I am dreaming my life out in a
f Fmaj7 e d b g+b g g+b g
(in a) way you won't understand.
Gm g c bb g c bb g c
I'm slipping right out of your mind, this I know,
bb g d c bb g c bb g
and I accept the fact lazi-ly,
c bb g Cm7 d# c a# d# c
for I must go into the next field,
a# d# c a# C7 e c a#
where grass is green and I'll find peace.
e c a#
Let me sleep,
e c a#
let me dream.
e c a# c a# g a# g f g f e f e d e d
let me be!

Re-awakening isn't easy when you're tired.
C C G F C C G F C
Don't push me: I was taught self-expression
C G F C C G G Bb
when I was a child and so I know
C C G F C C G F
the best way to go is slow.
Sometimes, when skies are cloud-grey,
and trouble's hanging heavy on your mind,
I advise you: curl up, slide away and
dream your life out, as I am.
Re-awakening isn't easy when you're tired.
Don't push me: I was taught self-expression
when I was a child, and so I see
the best way to be's asleep.
Re-awakening isn't easy when you're tired.
(Re-awakening, re-awakening)
Re-awakening isn't easy when you're tired.
(Re-awakening, re-awakening)
Re-awakening isn't easy when you're tired.

The same harmony fades out, finally disappearing from the Right and then from the Left channel.
